France is seeking to expand EU sanctions against private military company Wagner in its 10th package of prohibitive measures against Russia, which the EU will adopt on the anniversary of the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. Agency reports Bloomberg.
According to the publication, Paris requires that a significant number of individuals and organizations associated with this company be blacklisted.
Formerly Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine accepted PMC “Wagner” is a criminal organization. It was stated that 336 deputies voted for the relevant decision.
US Treasury at the end of January announced PMC “Wagner” is a transnational criminal organization. The Ministry also announced new sanctions against Russian real and legal persons. The sanctions list includes ship repair businesses as well as structures associated with Wagner PMC.
On February 4, the British Home Office develops Wagner plans to officially declare PMC a terrorist organization.
