In December, JMC Vigus pickups produced at the Kaliningrad Avtotor facility are set to enter the Russian market. The vehicles will arrive under a distinct brand name, with pricing capped at three million rubles, according to a report from the portal Chinese cars.

Insiders say the initial cargo of Vigus pickups has already rolled off the line, and the production schedule targets a total of 650 units. Details on additional model configurations remain unclear. The trucks are powered by a 128 horsepower diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Their exterior length measures 5345 millimeters and the wheelbase spans 3085 millimeters.

At this time, the official market designation for the pickup is not disclosed. Some sources, including the Telegram channel No Limits, have speculated about a halt to distributing the original JMC brand in Russia due to potential sanctions considerations tied to China.

Kaliningrad began manufacturing JMC vehicles in mid-2023. Jiangling Motors Corporation, established in 1993, is recognized for producing vehicles associated with brands previously linked to Ford and Isuzu in China.

There have been prior public discussions about Exeed presenting an updated VX crossover in Russia, indicating ongoing activity in the region’s crossover and pickup segments.
