Chery

Chery’s press service told socialbites.ca that the Tiggo 7 Pro Max, in all-wheel-drive form, would reach the market by the end of July.

“This is the change we’ve been waiting for,” the source noted, adding that more innovations are planned for the autumn season.

At present, the model is available in Russia only as a front-wheel-drive variant with a 1.5 turbo engine delivering 147 hp and a CVT. When asked about the engine for the all-wheel-drive version, the press service did not provide a response.

The AWD version could share the same powertrain as the Omoda C5, which features a 1.6 turbo engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch robot transmission in rear-wheel-drive configuration, according to a respected automotive publication.

The Tiggo 7 Pro Max measures 4500 mm in length with a 2570 mm wheelbase. It sits in the same class as the Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage, vehicles that previously left the Russian market. In the current lineup, the front-wheel-drive Tiggo 7 Pro Max is offered in Russia at a price range of 2.8 to 3 million rubles.

Changan

The Chinese automaker Changan is set to expand its Russia range to 14 models. An additional novelty announced is the Lamore sedan, shown at the Innoprom fair the day prior.

The Lamore belongs to the D-segment, comparable in size to the Volkswagen Passat or Ford Mondeo. Its design carries the same language as the Changan Uni family, featuring a prominent radiator grille with three-dimensional cells and sculpted body lines.

Under the hood lies a 1.5 turbo engine producing 180 hp, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch robotic transmission. The Lamore is front-wheel drive.

Exeed

Chery’s Exeed brand has placed a pre-order for the RX crossover on the first batch of 500 units, with pricing details released ahead of the sales window. The Chinese Automobiles portal notes the RX will carry a price of about 5.35 million rubles.

The RX comes equipped with eight-way power seating, including a five-way massage function for the front passenger. It features dual-zone climate control and ventilation for both front and rear rows.

Built on the new T2X platform, the RX is powered by a 2.0 turbo engine producing 249 hp and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The model includes comprehensive driver assistance features.

Evolution

The electric Evolute i-Sky crossover will begin assembly in Russia in August, with sales starting in September. This plan was confirmed by Andrey Reznikov, managing partner of Motorinvest, to TASS.

The model debuted in China in autumn 2022 as the Dongfeng Forthing Thunder and is equipped with an electric propulsion system delivering 204 hp and a traction battery of 86 kWh. The expected driving range is around 500 km.

Dongfeng

Motorinvest is set to act as the Russian representative for Dongfeng, with the dealer network’s development entrusted to the Russian side. Aeolus Dongfeng will enter the market with the Shine Max sedan, which is slated for a July release.

Earlier announcements indicated the sedan would be offered in a single configuration at a price of 3 million rubles. The Shine Max measures 4797 mm in length with a 2770 mm wheelbase. Its powertrain features a direct-injection 1.5 turbo engine producing 190 hp and torque of 320 Nm, driving the front axle through a Getrag dual-clutch transmission.

Cool

The Haval M6 crossover makes its way into the Russian market this July, with pricing already public. The base M6, powered by a 1.5 engine with 143 hp and a manual transmission, starts at about 1.95 million rubles. A variant with the same engine paired to a robotic transmission is priced around 2.1 million rubles.

Brand representatives highlight features such as body anti-corrosion treatment, gravel protection, heated seats and mirrors, and headlights designed to stay clear of road grime. Equipment also includes keyless entry, a four-speaker audio system, and a 10-inch multimedia display.

“Moscow”

In the latter half of the year, Moskvich plans to begin producing and selling the Moskvich 6 sedan and a mid-size crossover in Russia, according to the brand’s press service.

The Moskvich 6, known in China as Sehol A5 Plus, was showcased to the public under the revived Russian brand. The company did not specify the index under which the mid-size crossover would enter the market. Earlier, at a KamAZ board meeting, a parade featured the Moskvich 5 concept.

The car, a licensed copy of the JAC Sehoi X6, is expected to offer engines ranging from 145 to 184 hp, with two transmissions available — a manual and a preselecting robotic option.
