VGV U70 Pro
The base version of the VGV U70 Pro crossover is priced similarly to the top-end Lada Vesta SW Cross wagon, at 2.15 million rubles. Inside, the cabin features fabric upholstery, a 1.5 liter engine delivering 143 horsepower, and a six speed manual transmission. Trade in an old car can reduce the price by an additional 100 thousand rubles.
The U70 Pro spans 4825 mm in length with a 2800 mm wheelbase, figures comparable to the now-popular Korean Hyundai Santa Fe once common on Russian roads. For the Russian market, the suspension was recalibrated and the engine control algorithms were adjusted. The model offers heated seats, a heated windshield, a heated steering wheel, and heated washer nozzles. While it lacks all-wheel drive, it boasts a generous ground clearance of 200 mm.
Jetour X50
In fall 2024, Jetour plans to begin selling the compact X50 in Russia with a starting price of 1.99 million rubles. The basic configuration includes a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine rated at 114 horsepower and a five speed manual transmission. A turbocharged 1.5 engine option is also available, producing 147 horsepower and paired with a six speed automatic transmission.
The small Jetour SUV is close in size to the Belgee X50, the Belorussian version previously marketed as the Geely Coolray under the Geely brand.
Budget trims offer three interior finishes: black, red, and light gray. The front panel combines two 10-inch displays serving both instruments and the multimedia system. The driver’s seat offers six-way adjustment. The Jetour X50 adopts an independent rear suspension, in contrast to many peers that use a cheaper torsion beam. Ground clearance stands at 186 mm.
Chevrolet Onix
Chevrolet Onix sedans imported from Uzbekistan by Russian dealers have begun to appear in large numbers on local marketplaces. Numerous listings show cars priced around 2 million rubles, with most units dating from 2023 and featuring low mileage.
The Onix with a 1.2 turbo engine delivering 132 horsepower and a hydromechanical six-speed automatic can be acquired for about 2.1 million rubles. It comes equipped with alloy wheels, air conditioning, a multimedia system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and fabric seats. Another option is the 1.2 engine producing 90 horsepower paired with a manual transmission selling for roughly 2 million rubles.
DFSK 500
In August, Dongfeng began offering the DFSK 500 crossover with prices starting at 2.2 million rubles before discounts. In Russia, the model is available only with a naturally aspirated 1.5 liter engine producing 113 horsepower mated to a CVT.
The package includes front airbags, a heated steering wheel and front seats, and 17 inch alloy wheels. The DFSK 500 sports a traditional instrument cluster and a 7 inch infotainment screen, a rearview camera, keyless entry, and light and rain sensors.
In terms of size, the DFSK 500 aligns with the well-known Renault Duster of Russia, measuring 4385 mm in length with a 2655 mm wheelbase.
Next T5
Ixen Motors has published a price list for the Forthing T5, assembled in Kaliningrad. The vehicle is offered at 1.95 million rubles after accounting for factory incentives and promotions. It features a 1.5 turbo engine producing 144 horsepower and a six speed hydromechanical automatic transmission.
Standard equipment includes a panoramic roof, climate control, front and side airbags, and keyless entry. Faux leather seats are heated for comfort on cooler days.
Omod S5 GT
Following a recent price revision, the Omoda S5 GT sedan with a sporty look is now more affordable. The Tech version is available at 2.35 million rubles. Unlike the pricier trims with a 150 horsepower turbo engine and a robotic transmission, the Tech version uses a 147 horsepower engine paired with a CVT.
The Tech trim also simplifies equipment by removing climate control, electrically adjustable passenger seats, and front seat ventilation. The bright orange brake calipers are replaced with standard ones as part of the update.
GAC GS3
The compact GAC GS3 fits into a budget around 2 million rubles when accounting for promotions; without discounts, a buyer should expect at least 2.3 million rubles. In Russia, the GS3 is offered with a single 1.5 liter turbo engine delivering 177 horsepower, paired with a seven-speed robotic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The basic equipment includes LED headlights, a heated windshield, air conditioning, and heated fabric seats. A stability system and front airbags are also part of the standard package.
