The Nintendo Switch 2 game console will not be released before March 2025. On this subject with reference to sources reports Nikkei edition.
Initially, Switch 2 was expected to be released in 2024, but recently information about the version change began to come from various sources. The reason for the delay, as Nikkei wrote, was Nintendo’s fear of not being able to meet customer demand at the start of sales. In addition, the Japanese gaming company wants to give developers more time to create games so that there will be no shortage of content upon release.
Nikkei also reported that the Switch 2 will support both portable and desktop modes, similar to the original device. While the base Nintendo Switch has a 6.2-inch IPS display, the Switch 2 will have a larger screen, the publication writes. The base model is likely to start with a 7-inch matrix, which is already present in the Switch OLED version. Journalists also noted that the Switch 2 will play games at a higher resolution than the original.
Nintendo Switch was released in March 2017. The device had sold approximately 140 million copies worldwide by the beginning of 2024.
Previously Microsoft planned Launch Xbox Series X in a new color.
