The squad led by Jaime Garceda is ready to kick off in Group A of the Copa Libertadores, competing against Flamengo, Racing and Aucas from Ecuador. The tournament is scheduled to begin in early April and run through late June, with the final held in November at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The group winners and runners-up advance to the knockout rounds, while the third-placed team earns a spot in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana, entering a playoff against the second-placed team from each group in that competition. The playoff winner secures a place in the Libertadores Round of 16.
