The Brazilian strategist was cleared to resume training at Coapa and could be on the bench for the upcoming clash with Chivas.

André Jardine underwent emergency appendectomy earlier this week, a setback that briefly paused his involvement in preparations for the National Classic scheduled for Saturday evening at the Azteca Stadium.

After beginning the recovery process, Jardine returned to the training grounds at Coapa on Thursday to rejoin his squad and sharpen his plans for the weekend showdown against their fiercest rivals, Chivas de Guadalajara.

Since Wednesday there had been speculation that the Olympic medalist might be on Brazil’s bench for the weekend’s marquee match. It was not until Thursday that Jardine appeared at Club América to resume work and finalize tactics ahead of the meeting with the Rojiblancos.
