Former head coach of the Russian national team, Stanislav Cherchesov, who headed the Kazakhstan national team, talked about the outburst of negative emotions when working with Russian football players. His words guide the way “Match TV”.
“I’m looking hard. In my own words, I only lost half the box once. After the match in Qatar, it’s good that the bottles are plastic. Personally, I would never shout. You can’t do it that way. We are a team,” said Cherchesov.
The expert stated that the Russian team lost 1:2 in the friendly match against Qatar in 2026.
Cherchesov started coaching the Russian national team in 2016. In his home World Cup, the team under his leadership managed to reach the quarter-finals, where they lost to the tournament’s finalists, the Croatian national team. He was fired after the team’s unsuccessful performance at the 2020 European Championship, held in the summer of 2021.
Cherchesov took over the leadership of Hungarian Ferencvaros at the end of December 2021. He led the team to victory in the championship and the National Cup. He was fired after being eliminated from Champions League qualification in July 2023.
