Just 48 hours after its formal unveiling, a standalone platform supporting Generalitat President Ximo Puig keeps drawing backing. More than five thousand people have joined the group, a move championed by the author and historical scholar, Gerardo Muñoz. The plan includes a public statement at the University of Alicante’s campus in the city of Alicante, scheduled from noon on Saturday. The document to be presented embodies the founding values of the movement and has already been signed by more than sixty individuals from various sectors of Alicante society.

Members also include Begoña Martínez Deltell, a gallery owner and member of the Valencian Cultural Council; Lola Mollá, former director of the Jorge Juan de Alicante Institute and former PSPV deputy in the Valencian Parliament; Miguel Ors Karadağ, director of the President of Pedro Ibarra at GNA; Javier Cabo, former general secretary of UGT in Alicante; Óscar Estrada, psychologist and director of Casa de las Américas in Alicante; UA professor Maribel Penalver; ceramic sculptor Sol Pérez; and businessman José Orts, among others.

The platform also counts some PSPV activists among its supporters, including historian Emilio Soler and Laura Soler, the current district deputy in Cortes. The founders emphasize independence, with external collaborators playing a guiding role. Laura Soler notes that Puig is seen as a figure capable of uniting the Valencian community and placing policies at the center of attention. The hoped-for impact spans social, economic, and business spheres, reflecting broad endorsement.

The non-governmental organization, which began taking shape in the province late last year, now employs more than fifty staff members. The platform aligns with a call for regional governance, supporting continued Botànic-style administration while advocating for regional elections. The upcoming event on May 28 is a central moment, following a month of weekly meetings and preparations that culminate with the official presentation on Saturday.
