During the recent campaign activity, more than 2 million signatures have been gathered in support of PiS candidates for the Sejm and Senate. This milestone marks a record for the party and serves as a strong indicator for voters as the elections approach, according to Krzysztof Sobolewski, the Secretary General of PiS.

The drive collected over 2 million handwritten letters addressed to the Sejm and the Senate, setting a historic benchmark for the party. Observers view this momentum as a robust predictor for the upcoming electoral contest.

Sobolewski, speaking to the press, noted the significance of these petitions as a reflection of broad grassroots engagement and organizational capacity that PiS has built in recent months.

The Law and Justice program is slated to be outlined on Saturday in Końskie, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Jarosław Kaczyński, the Deputy Prime Minister and President of PiS, is expected to present the key points of the party’s platform for voters and supporters.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled for October 15, with Poland set to elect 460 deputies and 100 senators for the four-year legislative term.

Last Wednesday, the deadline for electoral commissions to submit lists of candidates for deputies and senators passed, marking another milestone in the election process.

In line with the Electoral Act, a candidate for the Sejm must secure a minimum number of signatures from voters in the respective constituency, typically at least 5,000, while signatures for senatorial candidates require at least 2,000 voters from the designated area. These thresholds are designed to verify broad local support before candidates appear on the ballot.
