The pre-campaign phase closed with a briefing where PiS unveiled its initial election proposals, presented by PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński. In remarks to PAP, PiS Secretary General Krzysztof Sobolewski stated that the party’s plans are not merely ideas but commitments it intends to execute.

On May 13, at the convention titled Programowy Street of Law and Justice, Kaczyński outlined several measures. Among them were raising the child benefit program 500 Plus to 800 PLN, offering free medicines for seniors aged 65 and for children and youths up to 18, and a pledge to eliminate tolls for passenger cars on national roads. He also indicated a future extension of toll-free allowances to private routes.

Proactive outreach and on-the-ground work

Sobolewski emphasized in an interview with PAP that the proposals reflect the voices of ordinary Poles.

The party has conducted extensive engagement with supporters nationwide, the secretary-general noted, mentioning that more than a thousand meetings had taken place across the country.

He described the early phase of the pre-campaign as demanding and rigorous.

“No one should be surprised by the pace. We did not expect anything less”, Sobolewski remarked.

Opposition critique under scrutiny

When reflecting on statements from opposition figures, Sobolewski argued that PiS did not encounter unexpected arguments.

He suggested that the opposition had offered only superficial policy proposals and little to no vision for voters, a stance that, in his view, surprised the party.

As a member of PiS, the Podkarpacie representative added that there is no intention to focus on the opposition.

“If the United Right can lose to anyone, it would be to itself”, he said, underscoring a confidence in the party’s direction.

More direct voter engagement planned

Sobolewski announced that future sessions would take place in each constituency to summarize local investments accomplished during PiS’s period in power.

He also reaffirmed that face-to-face conversations between PiS officials and voters would continue, describing those meetings as the essential core of the campaign.

Speaking on the broader messaging, he noted that the insights developed during the +Programme Hive+ will reach voters through personal contact as the most effective channel.
