The party leadership confirmed the penalties that were requested and imposed, underscoring that the final determination of membership lies with the Confederation Club itself.
Mentzen emphasized that the Confederation would not allow itself to be coerced or blackmailed in this matter. He suggested that even if the issue touched the Sejm Presidium seat for Krzysztof Bosak, the club would stand firm.
– according to Mentzen.
Confederation MP Krzysztof Tuduj also confirmed to PAP that Braun had been sanctioned.

Scandalous behavior in the Sejm
During Tuesday’s ceremony, Braun used a powder fire extinguisher to douse Hanukkah candles lit in the Sejm. He then joined the proceedings on the stage as the meeting was chaired by Konfederacja Deputy Marshal Krzysztof Bosak. The session was subsequently taken over by Marshal Szymon Hołownia, who excluded Braun from the meeting and declared that a formal request would be filed with the prosecutor’s office for disrupting a religious ceremony. Hołownia also announced that the Presidium of the Sejm had punished Braun with a reduction of half his salary for three months and a cut to the full allowance for six months.
The Left Club submitted a motion seeking the removal of Bosak from the post of deputy chairman of the Sejm, arguing that his decision to allow Braun to speak after the incident enabled an anti-Semitic speech. The Left pointed to Bosak’s response as insufficient, which prompted Hołownia to take control of proceedings.
The Warsaw Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated ex officio proceedings concerning Tuesday’s events in the Sejm, with participation by a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. A spokesperson for the public prosecutor’s office, Szymon Banna, announced this development on Wednesday.
