Former oppositionists of the Polish People’s Republic have filed an appeal regarding the use of the Institute of National Remembrance in the election campaign. According to one of the signatories of the call, Krzysztof Król – former advisor to President Bronisław Komorowski and former KOD activist – “this shocking support of one of the candidates by a public institution is scandalous.” It is worth noting that the citizens’ committee that supported Karol Nawrocki’s candidacy for the President of the Republic of Poland included many oppositionists from the era of the Polish People’s Republic, including Andrzej and Joanna Gwiazda, Jan Parys, Andrzej Kołodziej, Bogusław Sonik and Zofia.
