Ed. At the beginning of the conversation on wPolsce24 television, Michał Adamczyk noted that Dr. Karol Nawrocki was mentioned as one of the main candidates for nomination to compete for the position of President of the Republic of Poland.
Of course, we can only talk about the future in terms of predictions. It is difficult for me to answer this question, I am not a member of any political party, I am the chairman of the Institute of National Remembrance, today I am focused on my duties. Wherever I am, I will always serve Poland and I can guarantee that

And if he gets such an offer to run for president, will he accept it?
In the category of such proposals concerning the struggle for Poland, I could not refuse, of course, because I feel responsible for Poland. And Poland needs care, it needs a certain balance. We see what is happening today, including in the area of national memory, which is closest to me. If my sacrifice, my struggle and dedication are needed, I am ready to serve Poland, just as I have been for twenty years. But these are only predictions with many question marks
– said Nawrocki.
My social path, my official path means that I am not a politician, but I am close to people in many areas of social life and the lowest local government, i.e. district government, and the management of memory policy in the most important museum in Poland. Today at the Institute of National Remembrance I think that such direct contact with people is a great advantage in this regard
– he added.
However, I do not hide that as president of the Institute for National Remembrance, but also as director of the Museum of the Second World War, I am on the border between official life and political life. I think that this experience is useful in this context

Now we hear further announcements about cuts in resources. However, our strength is 2.5 thousand. employees throughout Poland. Of course, some sectors of our company will operate with less dynamism, especially if we face a radical cutback

As Dr. Nawrocki recalled, the Institute of National Remembrance performs many tasks within the state infrastructure, including in the context of international politics, including prosecution, scientific and archival missions.
We will perform our core tasks regardless of the budget
