The next meetings of the Pegasus Commission will be held on September 4, 5 and 9. “Current and former officers of the Internal Security Service, Military Intelligence and the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau will be questioned,” said the commission’s chairwoman, Magdalena Sroka from PSL. She stressed that she was looking forward to Adam Bodnar’s response about the experts who would determine the date and circumstances of Zbigniew Ziobro’s interrogation.
According to Sroka, the witnesses will be questioned in “complete anonymity”. The committee will deal with the issue of approval for the use of the Pegasus system and its accreditation. According to the chairman, the use of the system without appropriate controls or accreditation is a dereliction of duty.
We started with the procurement of the Pegasus system, now we will deal with the accreditation and approval for use, and then we will focus on the wounded.

She stressed that the former head of the Ministry of Justice should be questioned because he was the administrator of the Justice Fund, from which PLN 25 million went to the CBA for the purchase of the Pegasus system. According to Sroka, Ziobro is responsible for the fact that “this money was transferred in violation of the regulations”.
The Commission has also asked the Prosecutor General to forward all correspondence between PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński and the former Minister of Justice.
So far, the committee has heard, among others, former Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, former Deputy Head of the Ministry of Justice Michał Woś, former Director of the Department of Family and Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Justice Mikołaj Pawlak and other employees of the Ministry of Justice.
Pegasus is a system created by the Israeli company NSO Group to combat terrorism and organized crime.
