There is no doubt that justice must reach everyone; Zbigniew Ziobro himself once said that honest people have nothing to be afraid of – said on Wednesday the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery Jan Grabiec when asked about the search of the house of the former head of the Ministry of the Interior Zbigniew Ziobro.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Homeland Security and prosecutors searched and detained 25 people at dozens of locations across the country, at the request of prosecutors investigating the use of Justice Fund funds. Searches include: the houses of the former Minister of Justice, PiS MP and politician of Sovereign Poland Zbigniew Ziobro and the room of the former Deputy Minister of Justice, PiS club MP Michał Woś in the Sejm hotel.

Grabiec was asked on TVN24 on Wednesday whether Prime Minister Donald Tusk knew Ziobro’s house would be searched.
No, the Prime Minister knew nothing about this
– replied the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery.
Yes, he added, “we knew there were massive irregularities regarding the Justice Fund.”
Moreover, this is not secret knowledge, many media have written about it, we have submitted reports on this matter to the prosecutor’s office in recent years
– said Grabiec.
Grabiec hides his ignorance
But as he noted, “we had no knowledge of the nature of Homeland Security’s or the prosecutor’s office’s activities in this case.”
To the comment that Ziobro called these actions banditry and lawlessness, carried out by Justice Minister Adam Bodnar and Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery responded that he first wished Ziobro a full recovery.
However, there is no doubt that justice must affect everyone. Minister Ziobro once said that honest people have nothing to be afraid of
– Grabiec emphasized.
When asked whether it was necessary to carry out the search in such a drastic way, by “breaking down” the door, the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery pointed out that we know from the reports of the services that the services did not break into. the door open until they received information that Zbigniew Ziobro’s family refused to let them in.
National Prosecution Service spokesman Przemysław Nowak said on Wednesday that the prosecutor’s office has filed charges against five people detained by the Internal Security Service in the investigation into irregularities in the Justice Fund, and will submit arrest requests against three of them. .
The main goal of the Justice Fund is to help victims of crime. In September 2021, the Supreme Court of Audit, after analyzing the fund, ruled that the funds had been spent in an uneconomic and inappropriate manner, which would favor the emergence of corruption mechanisms. The irregularities allegedly concern more than PLN 280 million.
Jan Grabiec tries to justify something that cannot be justified. The actions we have witnessed should not take place in a democratic constitutional state.
