Commander of the Marshal Guard, Sub-Inspector. Michał Sadoń sent a letter to MP Katarzyna Sójka (PiS) expressing his regret over the incorrect mention of her name among the MPs who “grossly violated order” on February 7 in the area administered by the Chancellery of the Sejm.
This letter was made available on Wednesday at the 10th Chancellery of the Sejm platform.

““Misinterpretation of the video material”
The commander of the Marshal Guard emphasized that the situation “arose as a result of an incorrect interpretation of the video footage recorded on February 7.”
After another detailed analysis, it turned out that the behavior attributed to the MP had actually been committed by another MP.

He noted that existing film documentation shows that during the above-mentioned events, Katarzyna Sójka “did not commit any act of physical or verbal aggression directed against the officers subordinate to him.”
Sadoń also said that a correction regarding the MP’s role in the February 7 events “has been sent to the database of journalists accredited to the Sejm and to leading editorial offices, including the Polish Press Agency.”
Punishments for PiS MPs
On Tuesday afternoon, Marshal Hołownia announced that he would recommend to the Sejm Presidium to impose the maximum penalty on seven PiS MPs who clashed with Marshal Guard officers during an attempt to introduce Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik to the Sejm. Later that day, after a meeting of the Sejm Presidium, Vice-President Monika Wielichowska (KO) announced that these MPs had been punished by depriving them of their parliamentary allowance for a period of three months.
Małgorzata Gosiewska, Katarzyna Sójka, Edward Siarka, Jan Dziedziczak, Antoni Macierewicz, Jacek Bogucki and Jerzy Polaczek were punished.
On Wednesday morning, Marshal Hołownia announced that the guards who analyzed the recordings had misidentified the person in them; They mistook MP Agnieszka Górska for MP Katarzyna Sójka. He added that the financial penalty against Sójka will be withdrawn.
The Sejm Information Center also announced in a statement on Wednesday that “the Commander of the Marshal Guard apologizes for misleading the Chairman of the Sejm and the Presidium of the Sejm in the report on the events before the Sejm on February 7.”
The seventh person who broke the order that day and got into a fight with the Marshal Guard was not MP Katarzyna Sójka, but MP Agnieszka Górska. The commander will personally apologize to MP Sójka today. The Presidium of the Sejm adopted a resolution to withdraw the financial sanction against Ms Sójka; the issue of Ms Górska’s punishment will be discussed at the next meeting
