Donald Tusk has already completed his cabinet. He will present it during the Sejm session when the Sejm takes over the function of government formation, Marcin Kierwiński, Secretary General of the Civic Platform, said on TVN24 on Friday.

However, he added that if there were a need or opportunity to introduce the government today, “we would be ready without a moment’s delay.”
On November 13, during the opening session of the Sejm of the tenth term, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki resigned from the government. On the same day in the evening, at a ceremony at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda accepted the resignation of the Council of Ministers, which will continue to perform its duties until a new government is installed, and then – in accordance with previous statements – he appointed Mateusz Morawiecki as Prime Minister.
What will the Prime Minister do now?
According to the constitution, the prime minister presents the government’s program of activities to the Sejm, together with a motion for a vote of confidence, within fourteen days of his appointment. The Sejm adopts a vote of confidence by an absolute majority of votes in the presence of at least half of the legal number of deputies.
If the Council of Ministers is not appointed in this way, or if a vote of confidence is not granted to it, the Sejm shall, within fourteen days, elect the Prime Minister and the members of the Council of Ministers nominated by him by an absolute majority. majority of votes in the presence of at least half of the legal number of deputies. The President of the Republic of Poland shall appoint the Council of Ministers thus elected and administer the oath of its members.
The United Right’s candidate for prime minister is Mateusz Morawiecki, and the candidate for KO, Third Way and Left is Donald Tusk.
In the Sejm elections that took place on October 15, PiS won 194 seats, KO – 157, Trzecia Droga – 65, Nowa Lewica – 26 and Konfederacja – 18.
