PSL President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will take over the position of Deputy Prime Minister and head of a ministry that is “very important from the point of view of the country’s security” in the government of Donald Tusk – MP Ireneusz Raś of the PSL club said on TVP Info on Thursday. He added that the party would also receive the Ministry of Agriculture and “something else.”
Raś was asked on Thursday in the program ‘For or against?’ on TVP Info about the coalition agreement, he replied that the last meeting of leaders on this issue would take place on Thursday.
Tomorrow the program agreement will be presented and signed, and the idea will be presented to the cabinet
– emphasized the politician.
Raś confirmed that the deputy prime minister would be PSL leader Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who – as he said – would also “get a very important ministry from the point of view of the country’s security”. When asked if this was about the Ministry of National Defence, the PSL club MP said that “the leaders will determine this at Friday’s press conference.”
Raś also admitted that PSL would be responsible for the Ministry of Agriculture “and something else.”
Election results
In the Sejm elections held on October 15, KO won 157 seats, Trzecia Droga 65 and Nowa Lewica 26, giving them a majority of 248 MPs. The leaders of the groups forming these electoral commissions announced the signing of a coalition agreement to create a government led by the head of the PO, Donald Tusk.
Work has been going on for several weeks on the coalition agreement, which includes representatives of all parties that are expected to form a majority in the Sejm of the new term. According to recent announcements, it will be initialed on Friday.
