US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Azerbaijan’s use of force in Nagorno-Karabakh this week contradicts efforts to resolve the dispute. This was reported by TASS.
In his opinion, Azerbaijan’s military actions in line with the general position of the United States are unacceptable and contradict both the efforts made and the efforts of both countries to find a peaceful solution in the region.
According to him, this reflects the interests of the two countries that contributed to this work, including Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“The European Union and I support this work. “So the actions we’ve seen this week are completely counter to those efforts.”
Before that, the representative of the President of Azerbaijan in charge of special tasks, Elchin Amirbekov statedHe said that the draft peace agreement was transferred to Armenia.
On the evening of September 20, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that all goals of the anti-terrorism operation in Nagorno-Karabakh had been achieved and the country’s sovereignty had been restored.
