Deputy Agriculture Minister Janusz Kowalski started his election campaign on Saturday in a farmer’s field in the village of Wojciechów (Opole Voivodeship). As he said, these elections will not only answer the question of what Poland will look like, but also whether it will retain its sovereignty and identity.
Deputy Minister Janusz Kowalski, who was on the PiS list in the Sejm elections, started his campaign with a press conference in a farmer’s field in the village of Wojciechów.
“Choose effectiveness”
The politician considered his greatest achievements of the last term to be the introduction of the reform of the Commercial Code and the law providing greater opportunities for the use of renewable energy sources and the use of biocomponents in the production of fuels. He assured that his slogan: “choose effectiveness” is based on many examples, including: support for the repolonization of the Opole wagon train, obtaining PLN 51 million for the construction of the office building of the Opole University of Technology, and actions to to restore the railway line to the Głubczyce poviat.
According to Kowalski, the next parliamentary elections in Poland will be fundamental because they will “answer not only the question of what Poland will look like, but also whether there will be Poland.” According to the politician, currently only the United Right offers a chance to protect Polish schools from the expansion of gender and LGBT ideology.
This is also what these elections will be about, whether the Polish DNA will be preserved
– he explained.
Eradicating poverty in rural Poland is one of the biggest achievements of 2019-2023
Kowalski considered the eradication of poverty in rural Poland one of the greatest achievements of the last eight years of the right-wing government.
Just a few years ago, 30 percent of rural children were malnourished. (…) Today it is only three percent, and we want to eliminate this result completely
– he said. At the same time, he warned voters against voting for Donald Tusk’s party, which, if won, would eliminate PiS’s social benefits and is ready to bring several hundred thousand immigrants to Poland.
Cynical actions by the European Commission regarding the embargo on Ukrainian grain
According to Kowalski, the European Commission’s decision on Friday to lift the embargo on grain imports from Ukraine to countries bordering this country is evidence of cynical action by the European Commission in the interests of German and Dutch companies that produce food in Ukraine and this then import to the EU. EU. According to Kowalski, the lack of appropriate lobbying against this decision by PSL and PO in the EC proves that these parties are ignoring Polish interests.
Kowalski recalled losing his father as a teenager, who died of lung cancer.
“I will do everything I can to bring Grodzki to justice.
My mother told me that bribes were being demanded from my father. He didn’t pay. (…) In memory of my father, I will do everything I can to ensure that Tomasz Grodzki is brought to justice. And I will fight for all immunities of the Tusk people and the Civic Platform, which protect the people who took bribes from people on their deathbeds, to be abolished, so that Tomasz Grodzki can be tried, so that no one takes bribes from the sick, poor people, he never took these bribes
– said Kowalski.
Beata Kempa, Member of the European Parliament, present at the conference, said that she would tour the entire country from Wojciechów to support the Law and Justice candidates in the elections to the Sejm and Senate. According to Kempa, KO’s rise to power threatens Poland’s sovereignty and its place in European structures, where there is a strong tendency to transform the EU into a federal state.
