The director Vyacheslav Grishechkin denied rumors about the artist’s battle with alcoholism. A Telegram channel reported this denial in a post on Shot, addressing circulating claims directly.
According to the director, Grishechkin had not consumed alcohol for a long period and was in the hospital due to heart problems. This clarification aimed to counter persistent gossip about the performer’s health and habits.
On September 16, showman Gauguin Solntsev claimed that Grishechkin had been drinking heavily in recent months. Solntsev described a pattern of behavior in which the actor spent increasing amounts of time in unfamiliar company, distancing himself from close friends and loved ones. He characterized Grishechkin’s lifestyle as completely inappropriate in the years leading up to the disclosure.
Solntsev noted that the actor argued with friends and grew withdrawn. He asserted knowledge of an alcohol problem and said he had attempted to intervene, but Grishechkin allegedly pushed the blogger aside. Solntsev also warned that, because of these issues, unscrupulous individuals began to push the actor into dubious narratives, complicating his public image.
Vyacheslav Grishechkin has a long history in the performing arts, showing talent since childhood. He participated in a drama club before pursuing formal training at a conservatory, eventually entering GITIS. In 1977 he joined the Studio Theater in the South West as an artist, marking an early stage in a career that would span decades. His cinema debut arrived in 1989 with the film The Bandit and the King.
Over the years, Grishechkin appeared in a substantial body of work, with a filmography listing 167 projects. He is best known for iconic roles in popular television series such as Soldiers, Happy Together, Kamenskaya, and Brigade, which helped shape a recognizable on-screen persona for a generation of viewers.
