The SEPE, responsible for managing the economic protection and unemployment system, carries one of its main duties as the administration of the contributory unemployment benefit, which can reach up to 1,575 euros, along with the provision of aids for those who have exhausted their unemployment benefit and meet certain requirements. These aids comprise a total of eight assistance subsidies of about 500 euros each.

Currently, legislation contemplates eight types of unemployment subsidies, all non-contributory in nature, with the exception of the subsidy for those over 52, which contributes to a pension and has an unlimited duration. The amount received in all cases equals 80% of the Public Indicator of Multiple Effect Incomes (IPREM), which translates to 480 euros per month during the entire period of the subsidy.

Las condiciones para obtener la ayuda

To obtain the aid, several conditions apply. First, the recipient must be registered as employed or in a status equivalent to employment. The individual must remain registered as a job seeker for the entire period of the subsidy. Signing the activity commitment and not rejecting any job offers, courses, or training provided by SEPE is required. The unemployment benefit must be completely exhausted. Additionally, monthly income must not exceed 75% of the National Minimum Interprofessional Wage, meaning that income during the subsidy period must never exceed 850.50 euros per month.

Las demás subvenciones vigentes del 2024

While awaiting approval of the reform of unemployment subsidies, a necessary step to access EU Next Generation Funds in the coming months, SEPE continues to offer a series of aids to unemployed individuals. Subsidies include several programs that support families and specific circumstances, with varying durations and conditions.
