The SEPE, responsible for managing the economic protection system and unemployment benefits, oversees the contributory unemployment allowance, which can reach up to 1,575 euros, and provides aid to those who have exhausted their unemployment benefit while meeting specific criteria. This assistance comprises eight non-contributory subsidies, each around 500 euros in value.

Currently, the legislation contemplates eight types of unemployment subsidies, all non-contributory except for the subsidy for those over 52 years old, which contributes toward a pension and has an indefinite duration. The amount paid in all cases equals 80 percent of the Public Indicator of Multiple Effect Income (IPREM), translating to 480 euros per month for the entire duration of the subsidy.

Las condiciones para obtener la ayuda

– Be registered as employed or in a status equivalent to entry.
– Remain registered as a job seeker throughout the entire subsidy period.
– Sign the activity commitment and not refuse any job offer, course, or training provided by SEPE.
– Have completely exhausted the duration of the unemployment subsidy.
– Do not have monthly income exceeding 75 percent of the Minimum Interprofessional Wage, meaning earnings during the subsidy period must never exceed 850.50 euros per month.
