The Public Service of State Employment, SEPE, issued an important announcement via its official Twitter account that every employee should be aware of. Maintaining contact with the administration is essential, and it may be needed at any moment.
From December 15, SEPE specifies that to inquire, request a certificate of assistance, or receive information about procedures, the number to call is 060. The Civil Service has also announced that the old citizen service number and the geographic numbers for RATEL have been retired. From that date, the main contact line is 060, while appointment requests continue to be handled at 91 926 79 70.
What is 060″>
The SEPE website explains that this is the General Administration’s telephone service channel that supports citizens 24/7. It operates through an intelligent network telephony platform that receives calls directly and centrally, routing them to operators who specialize in different subject areas when needed.
Calling 060 may incur an extra charge since it is not included in most operators’ flat rates.
060 serves as a one stop service for citizens, currently integrating around 230 hotlines from various administrative bodies and more than 25 citizen services. It is important to consider this when contacting SEPE about unemployment benefits or other inquiries, as calls to 060 are not typically covered by standard carrier plans and may incur additional costs.
SEPE Online Services
Those who prefer digital options can consult SEPE resources online or visit a local civil service office for in person guidance. An appointment is required to access office services, and the process is straightforward through the online portal.
To book an appointment, users should enter their ZIP code, select the SEPE transaction they wish to perform, and choose the provincial directorate. The system then prompts for a date and time and requires basic personal information. This enables users to secure an appointment with the Public Employment Office.
In addition to in person visits, SEPE offers online procedures that make it possible to complete many actions remotely. The online experience is designed to be user friendly and to provide status updates as the process progresses.
Users are reminded to have any necessary documentation ready for their appointment and to verify which services require prior preparation. The SEPE platform emphasizes accessibility and efficiency, aiming to streamline interactions for job seekers, workers, and employers alike. By leveraging both the phone system and the online portal, citizens can access a broad range of employment-related services with clear guidance and predictable steps. For more information, official resources provide structured help and step by step instructions for each service in the portfolio of SEPE offerings.
