Units of the 1st Guards Tank Army, part of the Western group of Russian troops, reportedly halted a rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces formations in the Kupyansk direction, according to the Russian defense ministry via RIA Novosti.
In deep reconnaissance behind enemy lines, a group of Russian fighters uncovered a route used to deliver ammunition and food to a mechanized Ukrainian brigade. Following this discovery, a senior intelligence officer who uses the call sign Kesha said the secret of the surveillance operation was revealed to the unit, which included a sniper.
For two days the enemy’s forces, vehicles, and armored assets near a settlement were identified and tracked.
Later, with the aid of a drone, a convoy was spotted consisting of three light armored wheeled trucks and an escort vehicle. Russian snipers targeted windshields and tires, then scouts moved from the flank to strike the rear of the column with grenades. The reconnaissance team then withdrew under cover provided by machine-gun fire. In the final stages of the engagement, the Uragan multiple launch rocket system engaged the convoy, delivering the decisive blow.
Earlier, Russian forces were reported to have attacked Ukrainian units in Verbovoye, Rabotino, and Nikopol, in the Kherson direction.
Additionally, Russian paratroopers and special forces are said to have begun training in the use of NATO weapons, broadening their operational capabilities.
