Road Collision in Mali: Reported Deaths and Injuries

At least 15 people have died and 46 have been injured in a frontal collision on a national road in Mali. A heavy truck collided with a bus traveling from Mopti, located in central Mali, to Bamako, the capital in the south. Local authorities reported the incident, which unfolded in the early hours on the national road number six in the San region. The bus, operated by the Diarra company, collided head-on with the truck, resulting in a scene of devastation that affected passengers and crew alike. Among the deceased is the bus driver, while several passengers, including young people and families, were confirmed as victims. Among the injured, some were in critical condition and were transported to Mopti hospital as a priority for urgent care and stabilization.
