PCEX Automotive: from offline beginnings to a digitized global distributor
Alicante-based PCEX Automotive is a dynamic wholesale provider of automotive spare parts, connecting suppliers with buyers across the globe through a robust B2B platform. The company earned the Cepyme Award in 2022, recognizing its digital transformation within the SME sector. Led by David Santiago, a prominent figure in national business circles, PCEX Automotive celebrated the honor at a ceremony held at the Banco Santander headquarters in Madrid.
In 2022 the Alicante firm closed with a turnover exceeding 31 million euros. It specializes in linking supply and demand worldwide, locating the best sources of original car parts, handling purchasing, storage, and distribution. The portfolio includes millions of references. PCEX Automotive also develops and distributes its own alternative filling brand, Exiled, which is available in markets such as Algeria.
PCEX Automotive began its journey with a fully offline model. Recognizing the critical importance of digital transformation for future success and market adaptation, the company started embedding technological guides into its strategic plan four years ago. This included forming an internal IT department to steer the transformation, ultimately enabling a shift in its business model and the digitization of both internal and external processes.
Today, the company operates with a fully digital workflow and has extended its reach to 30 countries. This evolution aligns with the national recognition bestowed by Spain’s SMEs employer association.
Speaking about the achievement, the CEO and Founder of PCEX Automotive expressed pride in the award, calling it a national benchmark for the sector. He credited the entire team for turning the company into an international reference in the highly competitive automotive and aftermarket landscape.
Looking to 2023, PCEX Automotive sets out several strategic goals. The firm aims to consolidate operations and expand market share, broaden the product range, and deepen presence in Latin America and Asia. Priority areas include leveraging big data and machine learning to optimize supply chains, stock management, and international distribution costs while pursuing greater efficiency and scalability.
Last year’s results show a strong performance, with turnover reaching 31 million euros and a notable year-over-year growth. Milestones include establishing a subsidiary in France and advancing initiatives such as TERA Batteries Recycling, which focuses on repairing, reusing, and recycling electric vehicle batteries to support a circular economy in the sector.
