The Naturgy Foundation seeks to recognize individuals, institutions, and organizations that stand out for their social contributions and visibility. It has opened the call for projects related to energy to receive attention and support.
The submission window is currently open, with a clear emphasis on projects that deliver energy-related social improvements in Spain. Eligible initiatives span environment, health, education, vulnerability, social inclusion, and entrepreneurship, among other areas. The foundation welcomes both ongoing and completed projects that demonstrate tangible benefits in these fields.
The top prize offers 60,000 euros, while a second prize provides 30,000 euros. Applications are submitted via the Naturgy Foundation’s official site.
The jury leading the evaluation process emphasizes the value of social organizations working to alleviate energy poverty and to reduce its impact on vulnerable families. The call invites all Spanish social entities to participate and to have their efforts recognized for the difference they make.
María Eugenia Coronado, managing director of the Naturgy Foundation, highlights that this fourth edition takes place during a period marked by a global energy crisis that has created economic and social effects for many households in Spain. Initiatives aimed at fighting energy poverty, especially those led by private sector partners, play a crucial role in raising public awareness and showcasing the important work carried out by social institutions in the country.
IV Edition jury
The jury, chaired by a senior observer, is composed of leaders from academia, non governmental organizations, and social sector foundations. It includes experts in management and strategy, foundations focused on hope and education, as well as representatives from prominent social and humanitarian entities. The group also includes figures from banking, social services, and humanitarian networks who contribute their expertise to select the most impactful projects.

Over the first three editions, the program received nearly 200 applications and reached about 590,000 beneficiaries. Past winners have included initiatives that connect employment to ecological stewardship, educational breakthroughs for vulnerable populations, and energy access programs designed to support families facing energy poverty. The awards recognize projects that demonstrate measurable improvements in energy access and social development across Spain.
Naturgy Foundation
The Naturgy Foundation coordinates all of Naturgy’s social initiatives. Among its core programs to reduce energy poverty are the Solidarity Fund for Energy Rehabilitation, which increases the efficiency of homes in need; the Energy School, which teaches energy-saving habits and bill management; and energy volunteering that provides direct energy counseling to families facing hardship. To date, more than 150,000 people have benefited from these programs, underscoring the foundation’s sustained impact in communities across the country.
