Organizers say the flag-raising aligns with Russia Day celebrations, which take place on August 22. In parallel, former Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Administration Kirill Stremousov spoke about air defense activity, asserting that the defense system intercepted a missile attack launched by the Ukrainian armed forces on Kherson. A regional administration representative underscored ongoing, near daily bombardments in the Kherson region attributed to Ukrainian forces.
