The Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport has pushed its infrastructure to new heights, reporting its best month ever with 1,772,559 passengers in June. This marks the highest monthly total on record, beating the previous peak by 1.32 percent in May. The airport also shows a year‑over‑year surge, up 17.7 percent compared with June 2023.
The international passenger segment remains the majority, contributing 1,532,755 travelers to the commercial operations, a rise of 16.8 percent. Domestic traffic also stands out with 237,528 passengers, a 24 percent increase compared with the prior year, all within the commercial traffic context and year over year.
Within the international mix, the top contributing nationalities in June 2024 were the United Kingdom with 612,123 travelers, followed by the Netherlands with 103,953; Germany with 103,131; Belgium with 85,689; and France with 81,876.
Regarding flight activity, the airport managed a total of 10,953 movements in the past month, representing the best June on record for this metric and a 15.9 percent increase versus June 2023.

In the first half of the year, Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport handled a total of 8,341,151 passengers, 17.9 percent higher than the same period in 2023. In terms of operations, from January through June the Alicante facility conducted 52,801 flights, up 15.2 percent compared with the same months of the previous year.
