During a visit to the set of La noche D, Jedet spoke openly about his work situation. After winning recognition on Cristina Ortiz, the translator noted that no job offer was extended through Eva Soriano’s program: “I have to work because there’s no offer for me, and I’ve won an Ondas Award, yet transgender women are still not widely sought after.”
“Friends, please give me a chance. I’m exceptionally talented and have no issues. Keep me visible, and things will work,” the singer and actress known for series like Cardo told a camera, addressing the decision-makers directly on set.
“Why not cast me in a film? A role as a mother or perhaps a gangster—that’s what I’m often offered as the disruptive friend,” Jedet told Santiago Segura, a guest on that episode of La noche D, who agreed to the plea: “If I push for it, I’ll sign him on as a gangster.”
Beyond this moment, and noting that the episode centers on stars, Jedet recalled meeting Lindsay Lohan on Eva Soriano’s program. The memory marks a turning point in his life: “I followed everything she did and one day a friend invited me to a party where she was going to be.”
“I wore a dress, makeup, and shaved to meet my idol because I wanted her to see me as the person I aimed to be. When I arrived, she passed by and told me I was great. I believed that if my role model encouraged me, I shouldn’t be afraid. The next day, my transition began, and it has continued to shape my journey,” the actor shared, drawing applause from the audience on set.
