The cast of the latest season of Amar es para siempre is already pursuing new professional ventures. Norma Ruiz, known for portraying Sofía Carbonero in Antena 3’s popular period drama, is set to bring one of TVE’s fresh characters to life, as announced by a press release from the public broadcaster.
Norma Ruiz will begin daily shooting with TVE starting January 24, stepping into a role that will unfold on screen each day until Amar es para siempre resumes, as no air date has yet been announced by Antena 3 for the new cycle.
The Madrid-born actress will assume the role of Aunt Conchita, Rosario’s aunt and the aunt to Matilde, Luisa, Pablo, and Clarita, returning to the family circle. Her rapport with her nieces and nephews is portrayed as warm and close, and she will remain in the family’s gathering place to help care for them when Rosario leaves to attend to her mother.
This signing isn’t the only recent addition to the show’s plot. Eduardo Velasco will play Don Cecilio, a character who forms a positive connection with Aunt Conchita. Don Cecilio’s arrival will see Marta stepping into the workshop as an assistant, signaling a return to the afternoons on TVE’s La 1 after his earlier detour into Serve and Protect.
Two new settings in Amar es para siempre
Beyond these two new characters, two fresh settings will be introduced on screen for the first time: Doña Rosario and Aunt Conchita’s clothing workshop, which will come to life as Rosario’s absence forces her to share the responsibilities with her sister-in-law Marta. Additionally, Don Fermín’s attic will be shown as Inés takes steps toward independence from her sister Laurita, arranging the necessary measures to carve out her own space.
