In a move that expands its strategic footprint, the real estate developer has completed the acquisition of a company owned by the holding group Aligrupo. The transaction adds 15,300 square meters of land to the portfolio, located in Partial Plan Ensanche Levante Benidorm, formerly known as Armanello. This area is recognized as one of the natural expansion zones for the Costa Blanca’s tourist hub, a nuance the company itself highlights.

José Antonio Izquierdo, the managing director of Alibuilding, notes that the deal includes 6,127 square meters of usable construction space. This is in addition to the Urban Utilization Units already held by the developer in the zone, which account for a development right of 9,450 square meters. Taken together, Alibuilding now has more than 15,577 square meters of land ready to be planned for future projects that could yield as many as 220 homes in the region.

Izquierdo emphasizes that Alibuilding’s commitment to this area aligns with Benidorm’s potential to evolve beyond its traditional image as a sun-and-sea destination. The city is evolving into a place that accommodates teleworking, long-term residency, and a vibrant cultural and leisure scene, broadening its appeal to new residents and visitors alike.

The general manager of the organizing body points out that the Ensanche Levante plan will feature a level of floor space and performance that places it at the forefront of development projects. It is described as an urban model with substantial demand from the broader Mediterranean coast, one that could redefine Benidorm’s skyline and city image as the new townscape takes shape.

For Alibuilding, owning land in this expansion corridor complements the ongoing urban development program in Benidorm. It sits alongside the West Coast Benidorm Beach project, a modern skyscraper with 36 stories and 196 residences. The construction is contracted with Ecisa of Alicante, reinforcing a regional approach to development that leverages local expertise and supply chains.

Alibuilding adds to its portfolio a new 2,500-metre plot in El Campello

Alibuilding has also expanded its holdings with a 2,500-square-meter plot in El Campello, within Alicante. The newly acquired land sits near PAU 5 and is part of the city’s expansion zone that shows the strongest demand. The site lies close to Playa de San Juan and is only a short distance from Playa de Muchavista, positioning it to serve both residential and lifestyle-oriented developments for the Canadian and American markets interested in Mediterranean living.

The company behind this expansion is owned by brothers Juan and Pedro Alcaraz, founders of Goldcar. In 2020, the firm reported a turnover exceeding €18.1 million, marking a 53.3% rise from the previous year. That year saw the company push forward on new projects in Madrid, San Juan, Benidorm, and Polop, while completing the sale of developments already in progress. Notable among these were projects at Calpe Beach II and Denia, which illustrate a pattern of strategic growth and asset recycling that keeps the portfolio dynamic and scalable for North American investors seeking stable European opportunities.
