An 11-year-old student in Florida opened fire with his mother’s gun on young people who stole a bag of chips. In this respect reports Washington Post.

The boys were practicing football at a recreation center in Apopka, Florida. After classes, a mother came to pick up one of the boys. A schoolboy argued over snacks; Two 13-year-old boys stole a bag of chips from an 11-year-old boy. The older children chased the younger one and attacked him.

In response, he ran to his mother’s car, pulled out his gun and opened fire on the fleeing teenagers. He managed to fire once, and the bullet hit the back of one of the school children, passing right through him and wounding the second child in the elbow.

The victims were taken to the hospital, one child injured in the back underwent surgery, the second was examined by doctors and sent home. While a criminal complaint was filed against an 11-year-old boy, a criminal case was also filed against his mother for having the gun in public.
