The Russian Embassy in Argentina contacted the organizer of the Antarctic cruise, where the route was interrupted due to the failure of the ship’s engine. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“The embassy is aware of the incident. The embassy has contacted the company responsible for organizing the cruise, as well as the Russian citizens on board,” he said.
The diplomatic mission added that they were currently investigating the substance of the claims of Russian citizens, some of whom confirmed that they were on hunger strike. To help resolve the dispute, diplomats established contacts in the province of Tierra del Fuego (Argentina’s southernmost province – socialbites.ca), where they expected the ship to arrive on December 1.
