Coins can be collected only from the locations where Agent Meowman currently stands. Be mindful of NPCs with gray dialogue bubbles or sparkling objects; these visual cues help players locate resources quickly.
If there are trouble spots locating NPCs or sparkling objects, try these tips:
- Leave the area and come back to refresh the positions of key figures.
- Check if an NPC appears in an unusual place. For example, if Clara’s coin is near a video store rather than a repair shop, engage the NPC and refresh the area so it relocates.
- Remember that some NPCs are tied to other side quests. A coin may be blocked by the presence of another major character at a different quest location.
- Always consider the current time of day in the game world.
- Avoid searching for coins in what the game calls history mode. If the time-of-day indicator is not visible in the upper left corner, coin hunting won’t work.
