Why choose a server with players from Russia
Tower of Fantasy delivers many activities that involve teaming up with others, including boss raids, dungeon clears, guild participation, and more. In these scenarios, effective communication is key for coordinating actions. If someone knows English well, communication is usually smooth, but joining a server with fellow countrymen can be a big convenience. This is why many players seek servers populated by Russian speakers or communities from the CIS region.
While Russian localization isn’t officially offered in Tower of Fantasy, players can still chat in their native language. To enable this, users simply adjust the language layout on the device they are using.
When talking with players from the same country, transliteration can also help. This means typing Russian words using a Latin keyboard layout for easier understanding among teammates.
What server should Russian speaking players pick? The following worlds are popular choices for those who want to game with compatriots:
- Astora (Europe region). The main server for Russian speaking players. It has a large community, but queues and higher latency are possible.
- Estrela (Europe region). An additional channel with Russian speaking players. Fewer users, but queues are less frequent.
- Babylon (Asia-Pacific region). A solid option for players from the Far East.
Other servers with Russian speaking communities include:
- Blooming (Europe region). A German channel with many players from Russia.
- Cosmos (Europe region). Fewer Russian players, but enough to team up for tasks.
- iter (Europe region). A smaller community currently, yet enough to form a team. Queue times are usually short.
When selecting a world, check how busy it is. A green indicator means plenty of space, orange means moderate load, and red shows the world is overloaded. If possible, choose the green option. If every server is busy, expect a wait. After choosing, a timer and the number of players attempting to join will appear at the top of the screen.
Note that a character cannot be moved between worlds after some progress is made. If a character already exists on a server, the nickname will appear beneath the server name, as shown in the screenshot. It is common for all listed servers to experience heavy traffic, so pick the one with the lowest ping and the fewest players when possible. Basic English is sufficient for comfortable play.
Also remember that no server is officially designated as Russian speaking. Players will often encounter teammates who use other languages as well.
Change the server and connect to other players. How to play Tower of Fantasy with friends
Players can switch channels at any time while in the game. Open the main menu, select the current game world name, and choose Change server. Progress within the game, including exploration and character development, remains saved only when sticking with the chosen server from the start. This approach helps friends stay together on the same world when playing with others, avoiding mixed progress across worlds.
Pay attention to the channels within each server. There can be many channels depending on the workload of the world. If friends are on the same server but cannot locate each other, the issue is often different channels. The channel number appears in the top left corner, for example Channel: 109. Enter the desired number and confirm. Channel changes happen within the same world, so progress stays intact.
Other guides
It is common to find a server crowded, so choose one with a low ping and a manageable number of players for the best experience. English proficiency helps a lot when coordinating actions, but users will often meet teammates who speak other languages as well.
Note that there is no official Russian speaking server, so players should expect a multilingual environment during play. For a smoother matchmaking experience, connect with friends on the same server and channel from the start.
