What are perks in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Perks are passive abilities that modify a character’s skills or attributes. Unlike active combat skills, they do not require active activation during fights; installing them in a free slot is enough. At the start, three perk slots are available, and players can expand this capacity up to ten slots if they pursue additional upgrades.

How to get extra perk slots in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Perks unlock as players advance through the story. They become accessible by exploring Jedi Chambers, defeating tougher enemies, and roaming the open world. Some valuable perks take up more than one slot, so it is wise to collect and install them all to significantly strengthen the hero. Achieving a full set of perks can earn the Perk of the Job achievement.

First lock

The first slot is sold by Zee at his shop, located on the second floor of Pyloon’s Saloon in Koboh. The shop opens after completing the initial Jedha mission. Unlocking a new cell costs 10 Datadiscs, which can be found while exploring the Kobo region.

Second lock

The second perk is found atop Harvest Ridge in Koboh. Begin by heading to the indicated map point.

Move left and descend to the riverbed. Pass it until an elevator appears on the left and use it.

Cross the bridge to reach the locked door.

Pull the mechanism toward you and attach it to the rear rack.

Go through the opened door and run through the tunnel on the left to the end, then squeeze through the opening on the right.

You stand on the bank of an underground river. Jump in and swim downstream to the cliff, then turn right, mount the animal, and pass through the metal gate.

Jump over the bars and pick up the mechanism that unlocks the doors. Hold it until the animal approaches.

saddling the animal, approach the yellow metal structure and jump. Then proceed from wall to wall to reach the very top.

Move around the rock and head to the red building. To its right are two mounts; saddle one of them.

A precise acrobatic move is required. Run to the grate and jump to the white metal plate, then push forward past it, jump to the opposite wall, and continue until a platform becomes available to jump to.

Enter the hole in the wall, descend, and pull the door-opening mechanism while waiting for the animal to enter the building. Saddle it up.

To the left of the mechanism, there is an iron structure. Jump onto it, pull the structure, and fix it to the wall so the door remains open.

Exit outside, saddle the second mount, and return to the building. Leave it on the platform to the right of the entrance.

Return to the device that opens the door and switch it off. This creates a bridge beside the animal. Saddle up and guide it to that platform.

Return to the door opener and reattach it. This lifts the platform with the animal higher.

Saddle the animal and dash to the right. Exit through the hole in the building.

Leap onto the rusty structure with the animal’s help, then climb to the next platform. The essence that expands perk slots is on the right side.

One must solve a related puzzle by entering Moldy Depths. There, two Nekko must be brought to the barn using a rising platform to reach the top where the essence is located and interact with it to unlock a new slot.

Third lock

Head to Rambler’s Reach outpost in Koboh, beginning from the same spot used for the previous essence. Climb to the top of the round yellow tower.

Activate the meditation point and then take the bird. Fly left until a gray building resembling a bunker is reached. This is an abandoned police station. Jump onto its roof.

To the left is a downward passage. Use Force Dash to break through the green barrier and drop into the floor hole.

Run through the tunnel to a spacious room, where a left turn awaits.

Proceed along the wall and overcome two green barriers with Force Jerks. Behind them lies an essence that increases the perk slots.

Fourth lock

Find the fourth at the top of the plateau near the Path of Persistence in Jedha, starting from the mapped point.

Use a rope to cross the abyss, then move left and enter the gate.

Jump onto the ledge on the right, move forward, and interact with the ball.

Return to the gate and use the rope again. Jump to the ledge and push the second ball.

Use the rope again to go back. Climb the stone on the left, move forward, turn around, and interact with a third ball.

Reach the opened passage, run along the steep wall, and climb to the top.

Go left, interact with the last ball, and a perk essence appears nearby granting another upgrade slot.

Fifth slot

The fifth slot is located at the abandoned dam in Koboh. The journey starts at the nearest meditation point.

Proceed toward the dam. Cross the Iron Islands to the far side. On the left lies a platform that can be lowered and raised higher.

Move forward to a dead end. On the right you will find the item to take. Return a bit, drop the device onto the platform on the right, and jump after it.

Place the item in the slot. Then retreat and dash past the laser beam. It opens a cave passage. Enter and lure out the droid following you.

Approach the glowing wall and throw the droid at it. An explosion clears the path.

You will see the laser from the opposite side. Use the Koboh Grinder to raise it and burn Koboh Matter.

Enter the opened passage. Move along the iron walls, climb up, then run left to grab the essence with the upgrade.

Sixth slot

The sixth perk sits on the Path of Belief in Jedha. Start at the indicated map point.

Use the flying drone to cross to the other side of the cliff.

Turn left. Interact with the first orb, then use the droid to reach the platform on the left. A second ball must be pushed as well.

Return to the first ball and restore it to its initial spot. Then push the third ball with the drone’s help.

Go to the platform below and interact with the ball.

Return to the second ball and interact with it.

Proceed to the position of the first ball, but ignore it and move left. Fly the drone across and dash to the right.

Use drones to cross to the opposite cliff side and climb up a steep wall.

Interact with the ball and claim the essence to its right.

Seventh slot

The seventh upgrade is found on the Path of Restoration in Jedha. Force Dash is required.

Go to the marked point on the map.

Climb the right-side rock, then jump into the cave but do not enter. Instead, fly to the left rock. Run right, jump, and grab the ledge.

Run along the wall on the left and interact with the ball. This moves part of the wall.

Return to the previous platform and activate the next ball.

Back at the first ball, return it to its original position.

Push the second ball again.

Use the rope once more, but this time climb to the top of the cliff.

The ball sits in the center of the terrain, in the chute. Handle it.

An essence will appear to the right, granting an extra perk slot.
