Mintara, the alluring drow from Act I, tracks the party in Baldur’s Gate 3. Players can recruit her to join the group and even pursue a romantic arc, but achieving this requires a set of decisive actions that affect forest inhabitants. A player has recently shared a detailed approach to befriend Mintara while playing a good-aligned character.
The route isn’t simple. It involves multiple steps over a lengthy playthrough. To help players follow along, a Reddit user uploaded a video tutorial walking through the process step by step.
How to befriend Mintara
- Approach Mintara’s camp, engage, and defeat the heroine in combat to begin the interaction.
- Eliminate the other two goblin leaders to advance the storyline.
- Return to Khalsin’s quest line to address the goblin leaders and then take a long rest to progress time.
- Travel to Act 2, head to Moonrise Towers, and activate the waypoint for quick travel.
- Reach level 7 and learn two spells: Polymorph and Animal Control.
- Go back to Mintara’s camp. The guide suggests enabling a step-by-step mode for clarity during this sequence.
- Cast Polymorph on Mintara so she becomes a sheep; then use Animal Control to secure her as an ally.
- Teleport with Mintara to the towers. Next, take the heroine to the planned meeting point with Ketherik Torm.
- When the scene unfolds, split the party and dispatch two members to the dungeon to move the plot forward.
- As Ketherik confronts Mintara, the heroine ends up in a prison cell. Players should either push Mintara or wait for the spell’s duration to lapse.
- Hide and speak with the gnomes. In time, the main character and Mintara should form a bond that shapes the narrative arc.
A comprehensive video guide is available below. Note: the creator warns about a scene in which Mintara is unintentionally undressed, so viewers should proceed with caution when watching the content.
