In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, side quests often braid into the main story, offering chances to aid history, raise reputation, or reveal new information. One such task is Lost Honor. This guide explains how to start the search and complete it successfully.
How to start the search Lost Honor
To begin Lost Honor, travel the roads near the Sigismund camp in the Kuttenberg region. There a knight named Hawes will attempt to rob the protagonist. The encounter can happen during fast travel or regular travel, for example near the village of Gorzhana.
Along the journey a middle‑rank knight, the Quartermaster, will try to rob Henry, often without being noticed. The quest can be activated in several ways:
- Conversation
- Using a skill check such as intimidation or faith, or choosing I do not want to fight
- Admitting that robbing others is wrong
- Asking what happened
- Expressing that it is a shame
- Admiring his claim
- Offering to help
Choosing any of these options unlocks three additional activities that will appear later in the quest.
Talk to Garbuva
Kinisha, the knight who previously claimed the gear and the horse during the clash with Yezhok, is found at the Sigismund camp. To gain entry, tell the guards you were sent by the quartermaster, and admission is granted without further questions.
To locate Garbuva’s tent, follow the main road toward the restricted portion of the camp where the Centurion quarters lie. Turn right from there and on the left you will see a shield bearing the emblem described by Yeekom. Pass it and follow Garbuva’s tents that house similar weapons.
During dialogue with the knight, skill checks may appear, but the encounter often ends in a duel. A character with strong faith can request the lead, making the fight a bit easier, though it will not be a stroll in the woods. In this guide Garbuva is regarded as a formidable foe in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Prepare for a duel with Garbuva
To enter the duel, players should have the following items in their inventory:
- A spare weapon such as Berdysh, Glef, spear, or similar
- A primary weapon such as a sword, axe, or club
- Any shield
- Two hidden swords (the hero’s deeds qualify)
- 300 coins
The right weapon can be purchased from the camp’s blacksmith, forged, bought, or taken from the player’s own stash. After equipping, return to De Ridder and state the name. Three dialogue options will follow.
How to beat Garbuva
The first duel can feel like a test, especially for players unused to polearm tactics. It helps to train beforehand and raise related skills to at least level 10, since Garbuva is a tough opponent.
Equipping heavy armor is wise because Garbuva also favors strong, direct blows to exposed areas. The Brunzvik Armor is a solid choice and becomes available early in the game as part of the Leo on the Weapon quest.
Here are some practical tips:
- Stock up on lightweight weapons because they wear out quickly and damaged weapons deal minimal damage
- Bring healing potions and endurance boosters such as Bull Blood to sustain through longer exchanges
- Observe the enemy’s grip and parry in the opposite direction to deflect blows
- Garbuva often uses combos, so ensure endurance is restored before attempting a direct strike
After winning the first round, tend to wounds and use a restorative drink. Do not sleep or waste time, as stalling can cause the search to fail. The opponent may rest in the tent, giving a brief window to prepare.
In the subsequent round, victory becomes easier if a spare blade has been used. The key remains blocking strikes on time and following with well‑timed counterattacks.
For the final duel Garbuva wields a long sword and performs sharp master strikes. The best approach is precise blocking, timely counterattacks, and a full combo to keep him off balance.
If a high‑quality long sword is equipped and stats are strong, a single well-placed strike may end the fight quickly.
Defeating all three rounds earns the achievement Master Among Masters.
Get armor and a horse from Pan Yezek
Proceed to the knight at the end of the tournament and obtain the chest key from his tent. Inside you will find Yezek’s gear and the items needed for the tournament. Do not forget to take the brigantine armor from Yezek, which sits next to the chest.
Then follow the map marker to Yezek’s horse, easily identified by the yellow blanket.
Head to the marked location, the tavern, where De Ridder waits. Leave the horse in the stable and hand over the items. If the horse is brought to the tavern, the reward option may disappear in dialogue. The rewards include:
- Headgear of Pan
- Spurs of the Hedgehog
- 500 coins
