Open world Atomic Heart feels sparse in content yet is full of surveillance cameras and dangerous robots. Clearing the map to move safely feels pointless because flying drones continually revive defeated enemies. This guide explains effective ways to neutralize robots and intrusive cameras in large venues.

After completing the Vavilov complex, the gameplay opens up to a smaller open world that appears expansive at first glance but can feel empty beyond loot collection. The area is riddled with hostile robots, and the flying drones known as Bees keep reanimating fallen machines, making militant clearing seem futile.

Without sufficient loot, weapon upgrades remain out of reach, and exploring polygons without valuable upgrades is unwise. The omnipresent robots also make traversal risky, while cameras scattered throughout the scientific complex monitor movement and trigger more enemies when alarms ring.

Fortunately, the game provides a way to neutralize all life in a polygon’s vicinity. The developers hint at this mechanism rather than detailing it publicly, which adds a layer of challenge for players venturing into the open world.

How to disable cameras and fix robots

The process begins by completing the initial task in a small open area. A purple beam appears from the surveillance cameras, ending atop a tower. Climb Volan Tower and use the scanner to simplify the search.

Stand on the circular platform at the tower base to ascend. Up there, a contact named Baba Zina offers a meeting, and following the marker leads to Grandma, who provides a device that hacks into towers and accesses nearby cameras. This unlocks new mechanics to be tested later in the open world. On the PC version, pressing the F key interacts with closed relay locks, a feature that proves useful in later exploration.

After a brief train ride, the main Atomic Heart location becomes accessible. Arriving at Solnechnaya Station, the protagonist encounters the trusted aide of Academician Sechenov. This contact hands over a device that enables control of the Vulture module.

Opening the map reveals white location markers where robots can be neutralized. A blue marker designates Shuttlecock. Interact with it, then connect to the cameras and search for the white, round Vulture terminal. A relay lock on the door can be opened remotely via the Volan module cameras.

Descending to the terminal, the device is activated. Players face a choice: lower the Vulture or eliminate all robots. Lowering the Vulture allows access along cables in closed sections, while eliminating robots clears the path from both machines and cameras.

It should be noted that the shutdown is not permanent. Over time, the Vulture reactivates and robots return. A safety counter helps clear all areas and reach the dump site efficiently.
