Astrum Entertainment, the publisher behind Atomic Heart in Russia, has announced the free multiplayer shooter Xtract. The game is slated for a November 30 release for CIS audiences and several other regions.
Xtract blends action and adventure as players explore the island of X in search of ancient treasures. The Grail Company, an organization that invites explorers from around the world, drives the quest for these relics. Players will have the option to upgrade their gear and artifacts, selecting equipment that fits their preferred playstyle.
The game features a PvPvE mode where competitors face off against each other as well as a range of enemies, including lizards. Caravans are also said to be susceptible to theft, adding a dynamic layer to the strategic elements. The developers have hinted that players will be able to pursue many of the activities they enjoy most within Xtract over the course of play.
An announcement trailer from Astrum Entertainment showcases gameplay moments and the overall mood of the project. Fans can already wishlist Xtract on VK Play, marking it as a title to watch closely as its release approaches.
Earlier in development discussions, the project was referred to by the working name Smoot, before it was officially branded as Xtract.
