Sber and the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) opened a new high-tech Situation Center to manage campus infrastructure as part of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum, the financial institution’s press service reported.
The situation center works on the basis of the Smart Campus software solution, a comprehensive product jointly developed by Sberbank and FEFU with the support of the Priority 2030 state program. The main purpose of the development is to ensure that students and teachers can focus on academic tasks without being distracted by daily and economic problems: the system helps to provide the most comfortable living environment.
“Smart Campus is not just a high-tech solution for a modern university campus that allows you to effectively manage its infrastructure. This is an example of the application of the concept of people-centricity, valuing people, who are, above all, the ultimate beneficiary of any digital product. “I am sure that Smart Campus will become one of the most popular solutions supporting the development of higher education institutions throughout the country,” said Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the board of directors of Sberbank.
“Smart Campus” helps reduce infrastructure maintenance and operating costs and increases energy efficiency and resource savings. Thus, energy consumption can be reduced by 20% thanks to automatic lighting control, optimization of power supply systems, heat and water supply, ventilation and air conditioning. Operations services will also benefit, shifting from a reactive response to faults to planned preventive maintenance using data from smart devices: the productivity of technical staff will increase by a third and the number of incidents and emergency outages of equipment will decrease. “Smart campus” allows you to extend the service life of equipment and predict campus maintenance costs.
Management decision-making is supported by reliable data on the state of the environment and the functioning of engineering systems, and not solely by subjective assessment. All information about the status of the campus is structured and presented in customizable dashboards in the Status Center.
The latest technologies keep security at a high level: access to the territory and buildings is controlled using Face ID, smart cameras ensure seamless passage between objects without requiring passage through each door. With the help of smart cameras, abnormal or dangerous behavior of residents is detected and emergency situations are prevented in a timely manner. Monitoring the flow of people and transportation helps to use educational and public spaces more efficiently and create a schedule for services operating around campus.
At the beginning of June, Sberbank Chairman German Gref was at the exhibition “Eurasia is Our Home” presented To the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, the company’s solutions to increase the efficiency of healthcare, education and other sectors of the economy.
