How to find the boss of the Serpent of the Ruins (Abyss) in Genshin Impact

To visit the location with the boss, you must first complete a long series of rift quests. The branch’s starting assignment is “The Secret of the Qixing Rocky Gates”.

To meet this enemy you don’t have to complete all the missions. It is enough to open the hole where the Serpent of Ruins is hiding.

By order it is necessary to destroy several stamps. Each of them will appear on the map during the quest. We hit the stones with orange crystals in the direction of the seal. We find other deposits and retry the attack. After breaking a few bricks, the seal will fall. More details about passing the task can be found in our separate material.

After you destroy all the seals on the quest, a hole will open into which you must jump. The hero will move to a new location.

From now on, the map will open as you progress through the tasks, so we immediately find some luminescent crystals to trigger the next quest. This opens up a new area and finds a passage to the boss. Crystal shards are also needed to improve the lantern. In the future, this will make it easier to collect resources from the Serpent of Ruins.

After receiving the lantern, we activate the task “The beginning of the exploration of the depths”.

We find three notes on the map and follow to Jin Wu, a security expert in the Rift. A passage will open – the path to it will be marked with a marker on the map.

There is no need to perform following tasks, so the player can go straight to the boss.

To do this, you need to do the following:

1. At the market we arrive at the camp.
2. We go along the rope from the teleport point and climb the stairs above it.
3. We run along a long wooden bridge and immediately enter a tunnel.
4. We go through it and get to the cave with the boss.
5. We activate the teleport point and fly to the snake.

The enemy has a very high physical resistance (70%), so it is recommended to take heroes with powerful elemental skills and high damage to fight him. The Gelding Wyrm has only 10% protection against such attacks. The boss is not difficult, but uses several dangerous tricks.

First of all, the player should not immediately use all the skills, because when meeting with the enemy, the snake immediately disappears underground. This way, he can avoid most of the team’s damage.

At this point, the enemy will spill a purple liquid over the arena. While you’re in it, the hero’s health will constantly decrease. Also dangerous are the four powerful techniques of the snake of the ruins:

1. Liquid – the enemy charges the skill for a while and releases a large puddle in front of him. It is enough to leave to avoid damage.
2. Throwing objects – the enemy charges a blow for a short time and throws different energy orbs at the character. In this case, the player must destroy the purple orbs in the puddles while setting up the boss roll. This prevents further attacks. With a low level of the lantern, the player cannot bring down the kite movement, so you have to switch to the strongest hero. Such a character will easily survive the damage of the boss.
3. Funnel – the boss disappears from the screen and activates the air currents. It is necessary to leave this zone and wait for the snake to appear.
4. Sweeping attack – the enemy falls to the ground and rolls to the hero. In this case, you need to run from the blow to the side.

What rewards come from the boss of the Serpent of the Ruins (Abyss) in Genshin Impact?

The player can get a new item from the world boss – “Rune Fang”. At the moment this resource is useless and will most likely only be needed in the next update to climb Ye Lan or Kuki. To defeat this enemy, you can also get the following sets of artifacts:
