Wukong – How to get to the secret boss of chapter 1

In the first five chapters Black Myth: Wukong has hidden secret areas that can only be reached by completing a hidden quest. These secret areas hide good rewards, new shrines, and new boss fights. In the first chapter, you will have to go through Black Wind Mountain to do this. We will tell you how to do this.

To reach the secret area of ​​Chapter 1, you’ll need to ring several bells scattered around Black Wind Mountain. Approach the gazebo-like structures and interact with them when you’re close enough. A short cutscene will play of you ringing the bell. You’ll need to find three of these structures in total.

From outside the Forest Shrine, follow the path over the bridge to the arena where you fought Yaoguai Chief: Guangzhi. The bell will be in a small gazebo at the side of the battlefield.

From the Marsh of White Mist Shrine, return and go to the arena where you fought Yaoguai Chief: Guangmou. The bell can be found on the short staircase leading from the arena.

Start over at the Marsh of White Mist shrine and continue along the wooden dock to the large pool where you fought the Whiteclad Noble boss. Instead of entering the large building marked with torches, enter the cave on the left. The bell can be found if you go through the clearing on the other side of the cave.

After ringing the third bell, a cutscene will play and you will be teleported to a secret area called the Ancient Guanyin Temple. Follow the path to the first courtyard, where you will find the Grand Courtyard Shrine, as well as three large chests (one of which contains a piece of Guanyin’s prayer bead armor).

In the next courtyard, a boss fight with the venerable elder Jinch begins. The boss fight takes place in an arena full of small corpse enemies.

His attacks are similar to the Wandering Wight boss, including sword swings, teleportation, and illusion summoning. You must quickly destroy the corpses before they reach the boss and he is healed. To defeat him, focus on dodging his attacks and counterattacking when the opportunity presents itself.

After you win, return to Bell 3 and interact with the hanging corpse to receive the Fireproof Mantle artifact.
