“A walk in the garden and an interrupted dream” – a follow-up quest from Mastering in Honkai: Star Rail, which must be completed to unlock the new region ‘Garden of Serenity’ and gain access to the ‘Fox Ghost Story’ themed event. Today we will tell you how to start and complete the quest, as well as how to find a way out of the illusory labyrinth.
How to start the quest “A walk in the garden and an interrupted dream”
It is worth noting that not all players will be able to complete the Mastery follow-up mission, as it requires completing other tasks and meeting the following conditions:
- Reach mastery level 34.
- Complete the Mastery Mission ‘End of the Burial, Beginning of the Path’.
If all conditions are met, a message from Guinaifen will be sent to the protagonist’s smartphone immediately after updating the game to version 1.5. All you have to do is complete the dialogue and meet the girl in Aurumaton Alley. You can also track the quest in the task log or on a special event log page.
Talk to Guinaifen
Go to the Aurumaton Alley location and watch several short videos. After this, go to the new map “Garden of Serenity”, the entrance to which is located in the Exalted Sanctum. This will bring you to the map for the first time and allow you to start exploring, for example by finding scattered chests. However, we recommend leaving this last. Follow the markings for now.
Along the way you will have to defeat several groups of enemies, and when you are in the safe zone, a cutscene will start, after which you will have to follow Guinaifen and Hoho.
The marker marks a small area with a mirror, in which the heroine ends up in a maze.
How to find a way out of an illusory labyrinth
You go to a loop location, from where you have to find a way out. Almost all doors in this area lead back to the beginning. However, you will have to use a little trick: go back to the central column and find the door in front of which there are flat figures.
Go through it and you’ll end up at the column again, but this time there will be figures painted on the walls next to one of the doors. Choose this route.
This way you will reach the energy anchor and after descending the stairs you will face several opponents. We recommend that you do not stand on ceremony with them, as you will have access to a starting character that follows the path of destruction (physical damage).
After the video, talk to the ghost and get the marker. This is how you get the first hint (you can open it with the key “R”). It indicates actions that should help open the next door. Examine the room with several vases. Break all the vases Redleave the blue one untouched.
After several conversations with Hoho and the ghosts you will receive the second clue. It contains the following steps:
- Discover the most cheap box in the room with chests (normal);
- Break all the vases of blue colorleave the red one untouched.
Which mirrors to choose
Once you open the door you interact with the mirror and are taken to a floating island with several other mirrors. To choose the right one, you need to ask them a few questions first. A real mirror will speak flatteringly about the mistress, so that you do not get confused.
However, you soon find yourself on an island with three incorrect mirrors. Listen to them all and go through them all. The hero returns and meets Hoho, who will give a hint: behind the island a transparent path to a stone with another mirror has appeared. By the way, you can use the same passage to pick up a secret chest later.
How to defeat the host and collect the fragments
From now on, Hoho is the main character of your party. Follow the only path to the marker, destroying enemies along the way. The few starting battles will be short, but then you’ll have to face off against Cirrus.
The first battle ends with you losing some of the ghost’s minions, and after the cutscene a more serious battle begins. You cannot use Hoho, but the girl will restore health to all party members at the start of each new turn.
When you defeat the enemy and watch the video, return to Aurumaton Alley and talk to Susan. You will receive the achievement “Danger in My Heart” in the “Path to the Stars” section (10 Star Jades), as well as other rewards.
