Background: Named after the release date of the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 with improved graphics and new contentNextgen patch for The Witcher 3 will be shown next week, but now you can see what improvements await us. YouTuber Cycu1 showed off the main changes by comparing the official screenshot of the re-release to a screenshot of the “vanilla” version of the game.
Judging by the video, the visual portion of the game has noticeably improved thanks to new textures and vegetation. It’s still too early to talk about lighting (the screenshots have different weather, which hinders comparison), but you can notice a greater number of shadows – now even small stones cast them.

Some users are hoping that The Witcher will now reach the level of graphics shown at E3 2014.
“We finally have the graphics from the E3 demo– Diego Mauricio Gomez.
“VGX Lighting mod and environmental improvements. This is a huge remaster.“- winged hussar.
“Someone found a pre-release version of the game on a buried hard drive, good news– JOEL _44.
The re-release of The Witcher 3 not only gets improved graphics and ray tracing support, but also additional content: from the modding community and from CDPR based on the Netflix series.
Nextgen patch will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS 5 on December 14. 👽 Soyuzmultfilm showed footage of his cartoon on Unreal Engine 5
