The organizers of the 2023 Grammy Music Awards have revealed the full list of nominees. This year saw the first game nomination – for the best soundtrack.
The shortlist includes games released in 2021. Seems like a clear favourite Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, for which they recorded a separate rock album.
This isn’t the first time video game music has been nominated for a Grammy. In 2011 the title theme Civilization 4 titled Baba Yetu won the award for “Best Instrumental Arrangement with Vocals”. And in 2012, the soundtrack entered the Grammy Trip.
The 65th Grammy Awards will take place on February 5. Earlier, the nominees for the title “Game of the Year” within the TGA 2022 were announced.
