Belka Games, a developer and publisher of mobile games, has announced that it will close its Russian office and expand its work in Europe. Earlier, more than 200 people were transferred from the local office abroad.

The studio’s general manager, Alexander Bogdanov, said the company began curtailing its operations in March, reducing its presence in Russia by six times. At present, 35 employees remain in the Russian office. Previously, the studio fired more than 50 developers in Russia, Belarus and Lithuania. A total of 400 people worked at Belka Games in 6 offices, including the head office in Cyprus.
The studio itself appeared in Minsk in 2010 and has become one of the most successful mobile games on the local market in recent years. For example, she created Clockmaker, Funky Bay, Solitaire Cruise and other projects.
It was previously reported that the publisher and developer of mobile games Game Insight would leave Russia.
